Hi Can someone help please with getting the weapons working in Gauntlet offline? I am running UT99 version 436 I discovered the UT99 variant Gauntlet on a server that was running it, great game! I'd like to be able to practice offline so I downloaded the zip file Gauntlet10BetaV4. I put all of the .ini .u and .int files into my UT System folder, these are the files: ExuWeapons.ini ExuWeaponsLiteV4.u Gauntlet-10-BetaV4.u GauntletAssaultFix.u GauntletGame.ini GauntletGates.ini GauntletScoreing.ini GauntletStatistics.ini MapVoteLA.ini WildcardsGauntlet.int When I start UT, and go to Game>Start Practice Session> in the box that appears I do see 'Wildcard Gauntlet' as a game type. I can select 'Wildcard Gauntlet' and start a game, it appears to start and run ok, with the Gateways and monsters all appearing and working. But the only weapons I have are the standard basic UT99 weapons. The game I played online had a completely different weapon set. Going back to the box that appears under Game>Start Practice Session>, in 'Mutators' I see the usual list I had before installing Gauntlet, including relics, etc, but there are no different weapons listed here. In the Mod drop down menu, the only item is 'Force Default Models'. I don't know if that's supposed to be relevant, but it doesn't make a difference to the weapons set whether it's clicked or not Is there some modification I have to make to my UnrealTournament.ini file to tell it to use the Gauntlet weapons on a Gauntlet game? I am assuming the weapon set I saw when I played it online is the one that ExuWeapons.ini and ExuWeaponsLiteV4.u refer to, and I have put those in my System folder. The Read Me included Offline Practice Session Notes, but I couldn't see anything about my issue here. The instructions for installing on a server said: Edit your servers UnrealTournament.ini press crtl+f and find ServerPackages= add these lines in: ServerPackages=ExuWeaponsLiteV4 ServerPackages=Gauntlet-10-BetaV4 I didn't expect that to make a difference as I am playing offline, not running a server, but I tried adding those lines anyway. Didn't make a difference. Can someone tell me how to get the Gauntlet weapons working please? Thanks. |
