That request is highly unlikely. To my knowledge, most maps we play at are preferred without using music at all. It's additional download bloat that usually goes unheard over the intense action of the game.

To answer your question, Yes it is possible however as a mapper I try to stick to default UT tracks so clients don't have more bloat to download. If I want custom music I try to embed it into the map itself and only if it's not a raw bloaty .wav format inside. In my honest opinoun, sadly UT just sucks when it comes to music There is not MP3 support or nothing. If an author of a map wanted custom music they would have to add a bloaty .wav and make it some exotic format or add a crappy .wav to save size and everything sounds horrible their reaslly is no inbetween

I thought there was a conversion app that converts mp3 to native UT music format. Thought I saw that somewhere....although whenever there is custom music, the song file DL is rather large.

Sorry for reviving this topic... about the songs i used and still using OpenMPT to convert songs in .wav format to .it .s3m .xm or .mod... and Unreal Editor converts it to .umx... However, i prefer .it format also the frequency 22050Hz Mono 16-bit is kind a nice option and the output song wont be too bad In case when i got the .mp3 ones, i just converted them to .wav because OpenMPT doesnt accept .mp3 file format :/

We could have music that would normaly always bee in the double digits in mb and keep it in the single digits with supperiour quality.
